A: HAMBURGER EYES is a printed publication! read our bio and resume here.
A: HAMBURGER EYES PHOTO EPICENTER is our recently acquired photo lab. we have darkroom rentals, a built in gallery, a digital lab, a retail section, and lots of space for the ultimate in productiveness. read more about here.
A: it is our website where you can find updated info about the magazine and affliated products, along with links and info about our photographers, advertisers, friends, and family. the website also has a handful of features that compliment the magazine.
A: we used to, but we no longer offer subscriptions. the reason is our magazine is very limited in edition and we would like everyone to have a fair chance at getting the new one when it comes out. also, in these days of turbulent economic landscapes, our magazine tends to come out irregulary. which makes it hard to please subscribers. also, the production of our magazine tends to be very flexible and everchanging. it wouldnt be very fair to our subscribers if one day we decide to turn hamburger eyes into a xerox and staple issue, or it wouldnt be fair to us if one day we decide to turn hamburger eyes into a 300 page book that only comes out once a year.
A: yes you do! and it will break down like this:
- if you subscribed with hamburger eyes issue 008, you will receive h008, h009, and h010.
- if you subscribed with hamburger eyes issue 009, you will receive h009, h010, h011(the music issue).
- if you subscribed with hamburger eyes issue 010, you will recieve h010, h011(the music issue) and h012.
* note that our productions costs have almost doubled since issue 008.
A: if we have copies left you can buy it right here! also, there are tons of online stores you can buy it from, google anyone? if not, check with your local cool stuff retailer, if they dont already carry it, make sure you tell them to call LAST GASP and they can order it.
A: awesome, we would love to have our magazine up in your piece. please contact our distributor, LAST GASP.
A: yes most definitley, we are nutty about your photos. feel free to send a cd anytime. please please please do not email photos. you can email a link, but most likely we wont remeber it. when it comes time for editing, we use whats in front of us, which is a giant pile of cds.
scan your photos hi-res at 300 dpi, 5x7, jpg. burn a cd and mail it in. it will not be returned. and if we cant open it, we throw it in the trash, so make sure your files are legit. make sure they are clean. make sure you know what you are doing. and your photos may be epic, but there is no guarantee that we will use them.
heres a couple hints: our magazine is black and white, and blow our minds. also note that just because we may have run a couple photos of lets say a homeless person, that doesnt necessarily mean we want all your 1000 photos of homeless people, actually i would think it would mean the opposite. how about some photos of billionaires?
**more hints: there are 100's of submissions. please have all your info written on the disc itself. name, phone number, email. those iphoto discs are the worst having to open too many folders. have all photos in 1 folder or no folder. again, there are many submissions, so if we dont contact you right away, please do not take it personally, because when it comes down to it i really do love you.
when is the next issue coming out? we dont know. when is the deadline for submissions? tommorrow.
