Gendler (Connecticut) |
Robert
Gendler’s work has been exhibited at the Bushnell in Hartford
and the University of Connecticut Medical Center, and is on permanent
display at the Children’s Museum in Hartford and the Springfield
Science Museum in Massachusetts. He pioneered the use of mosaics,
hydrogen alpha color composites and mixed focal length composites
in amateur CCD imaging and has published six original articles and
tutorials on these and other subjects. His award-winning photographs
have been published in over 400 magazines and books, including over
40 cover pages, and have been selected as NASA’s Astrophoto
of the Day (APOD) 49 times, to date. In September 2003, Astronomy
Magazine selected his 2002 mosaic of M31 as one of the greatest
astronomical images of the last 30 years. The Royal Mail (United
Kingdom) selected his image of IC405 for a commemorative stamp.
His book, “A Year in the Life of the Universe”, published
in 2006, is now available in multiple languages including English,
Polish, Greek, and Spanish.
This
year, he has been selected to receive the “Hubble Prize”
at the 2007 Advanced Imaging Conference. He will also be one of
six astronomers featured in Timothy Ferris’ PBS special “Seeing
in the Dark”, to be aired this fall. In 2008, he will be listed
in the Guinness Book of World Records for his 2005 mosaic of M31,
the all-time largest image of a spiral galaxy. He lives and works
in Connecticut.

Yvonne
Mouser graduated with high distinction from California College of
the Arts in May 2006 as a Wood/Furniture major. Her work has been
exhibited in galleries from Ft. Worth, Texas to Oaxaca, Mexico and
throughout the Bay Area including the California Museum of Craft
and Design. She currently lives and works in San Francisco, California
filling her time with commissions, design collaborations and work

Fideelia-Signe
Roots received her Master of Arts with high honors from Tallinn
Art Academy in 2007 and her BA from the University of Tartu in 1999.
She has had individual exhibitions at Hobusepea Gallery, Tillinn;
PGR ART, Gdansk, Poland; Y-Gallery, Tartu; and Kohtla-Jarve Oil-Shale
Museum, Estonia. She has had group exhibitions at KUMU Art Museum,
Tallinn; Y-Gallery, Tartu; and the Contemporary Art Centre of Parnu,
Estonia. Her work has been acquired by museum and private collections
in Finland, Poland, and Estonia, where she lives and works. |

Sandnes received his Bachelor of Arts from University of California,
Irvine in 2003, and his Master of Fine Arts from California Institute
of the Arts in 2007. His work has been exhibited in individual exhibitions

Gallery, Venice Beach, California; and he will have his second individual
exhibition at Groeflin Maag Galerie, Zurich, Switzerland this year.
He has been included in group exhibitions at the Stenersen Museum,
Oslo, Norway; Estacion Tijuana, Tijuana, Mexico; Catalyst Gallery,
University Art Gallery, Irvine, California; and Lime Gallery, Valencia,
California; and will be included in a group exhibition at SFSU Fine
Arts Gallery this year. He lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. |
